Catholic Beliefs: The Lord Really Has Returned

My whole family believes in God. I attended mass with my mom from the time I was a little girl and God bestowed so much grace on us—we were full of gratitude toward Him and we were also longing for the Lord’s return. But I never imagined that when the Lord really did return to work and save us, I wouldn’t recognize His work but would instead rely on my arrogant nature and cling to my old notions, nearly missing out on the Lord’s salvation.

Where Does This Voice Come From?

I was born in a religious family, and I have many relatives who are preachers. From the time I was young, I followed my parents in believing in the Lord. After I grew up, I addressed to the Lord in prayer: If I could find a husband who believed in the Lord, I would offer myself up together with him in service to the Lord. After I got married, my husband really did believe in the Lord, and in fact became a full time devoted preacher. In order for my husband to feel at ease in his work for the sake of the Lord, and to be able to fulfill his commitment in the presence of the Lord, I actively undertook the burdens of running a household. Although it was a little bit difficult and tiring, my heart was filled with joy and peace no matter how much suffering I endured because I had the Lord as my support.

It is said: “God should show people great miracles; He must heal the sick and cast out demons, and He must bestow blessings upon people. If He does not show miracles, if He doesn’t bring any benefit for mankind, then He is not the true God. If this Almighty God you believe in is the true God, why do you still get sick? Why aren’t your homes peaceful? As believers in Jesus, those of us who are sick are cured, and those who are not sick have peace at home.”

Response: There are people who deny that Almighty God is the return of Jesus and that He is the true God because people who believe in Almighty God still get sick and their homes are not at peace. They believe that by believing in the true God, people should be free from illness and disaster and their homes should be totally peaceful. These are nothing but human notions and imaginations, and they absolutely are not a genuine understanding of God. They are particularly out of line with the facts of God’s work. As everyone knows, Job believed in the true God, and Jehovah was inherently the one and only God, but Job’s family suffered robbery, plundering of all their wealth, and the death of their children. Even Job himself was covered in sores head-to-toe. So if you say that by believing in the true God everything should be peaceful, there should be no sickness and no disasters, then what do you think of what Job experienced? Could it be that we should deny that Jehovah is the true God? Jesus is the true God, but over the course of Peter following Jesus, he underwent countless difficulties and trials, and his illnesses were never-ending. The Apostle Paul also suffered many adversities—he was flogged and stoned many times, and ran into trouble at sea many times. He also became ill. The other disciples and apostles also suffered through many difficulties. If it’s said that by believing in the true God, one should have peace and health, how can we account for these things that came upon devout disciples and apostles who followed Jesus? Could we actually say that Jesus is not the true God? It is clear that human understanding is one-dimensional and biased! The truth is that Jehovah is the true God, and it was not only because He revealed the miracle of leading the Israelites out of their slavery in Egypt or that He was able to bestow blessings upon mankind. What’s more important is that He could issue the law that led mankind’s lives on earth for two thousand years, and the law that He issued allowed man to understand how to worship God and how to have proper human life on earth. Jesus is the true God, and it is not only because He could heal the sick and cast out demons, or that He could bestow peace and material benefits upon people. It is because He completed the work of being crucified to redeem mankind, and without the redemption of the cross all of mankind would have died under the law. It is because of His salvation of the cross that man’s sins have been forgiven, and that we have survived until now. If we only relied upon revealing miracles to identify God, then isn’t it true that the Pharaoh’s sorcerers were also able to turn a rod into a serpent (See Exodus 7:10-12)? And isn’t it true that Simon, who had long practiced sorcery, was also able to make the people marvel at his miracles and even think that he was God (See Acts 8:9-11)? If we only relied upon healing the sick and casting out demons to identify God, then couldn’t those witch doctors and the prince of the devils also do that for people? But it is only God Himself who can save mankind and lead us in our lives on earth. It is only He who can redeem corrupt mankind from our sins. This is something that Satan or evil spirits cannot achieve. So, when judging whether it is God or not, you cannot rely solely upon miracles, whether or not people’s illnesses are cured or what material benefits are given. It must be based upon whether the work that is done can guide mankind, whether it can save mankind. Displaying miracles, curing the sick, and bestowing material benefits are very easy things to do. They are not enough to determine if this is God. He is the almighty, all-wise God, the God of compassion and mercy, the righteous and holy God, the powerful, authoritative, lofty God, and He is capable of creating mankind, leading our lives on earth, and redeeming Satan-corrupted mankind from sins. Finally, He is also able to completely purify and transform the people who have been redeemed but are still filthy, and bring them into God’s kingdom. These are all things that God has completed, and the work that He will certainly complete. This is the work that cannot be done by Satan or evil spirits, or any man. So, saying that because Almighty God does not perform miracles, heal the sick and cast out demons, and His followers still get sick and sometimes have family problems, this determines that Almighty God is not the true God is nothing but a fallacy. It is a judgment made by ignorant, foolish people who do not know God or His work.

How can you pursue the truth so that you are not taken in by lies? What are the principles of practice? (2)

The Man’s Fellowship:

Some people listen to so many of God’s words, yet when they listen to one sentence of the great red dragon’s negative propaganda, they start to be suspicious all of a sudden. It is as if God’s words are not true and the work that God does is false. Do these kinds of people have faith in God? This is not faith. Look at the faith of Abraham and Job. That is genuine faith. They did not have any notions no matter what God said! What are the most important words that Peter spoke? “Even if God were playing with humans like they were toys, how would humans be able to complain? What right would they have?” (“Interpretation of the Thirty-fifth Utterance” in The Word Appears in the Flesh). Do you think these are words of faith? No matter what God does, he would obey. What’s the big deal with the great red dragon spreading rumors? “Even if all the things that the entire religious world and the great red dragon say were true, I would still believe in Almighty God.” Is this a genuine faith? This is what a genuine faith is like. Why do you need to believe in this manner? You can see that God is real. You can see that the things that God says are true. You can see God doing the work of perfecting man. This is why even if what the great red dragon says were true, God would still be God. God will forever be God! Someone asked, “Now, is it the case that no matter what God does, He is still God?” Correct. This is how it is. If He throws your child into a well, is He still God? Would you still believe? Let’s say you have two children. With one word, God lets your two children die. Would you still believe? If God lets your entire family perish in an earthquake, would you still believe? You all say that you would still believe. Why would you still believe? Isn’t it because this does not affect the essence and the reality that God is still God? God is God. No matter how many good things that Satan does, it is still Satan. No matter how many things God does that are not in accordance with man’s notions and no matter how many times He destroys mankind, He is still God. Isn’t this a genuine knowledge of God? Someone asked, “Then how do you tell the positive from the negative?” What are positive things and what are negative things? What is correct, and what is wrong? What is true and what is false? How do we differentiate these things? What God says is the truth. God is the truth. All the things that Satan says and does are evil. That is why everything that Satan does and says is fallacy. They are all negative. It is fine if you define these things in this way. No matter how many things Satan does that people think are good, it is still Satan. No matter how many things God does that destroy and punish mankind, He is still God. Isn’t this an objective fact? It is an objective fact. I’ll give you an example. Regardless of why your father hits you, he is still your father. No matter how he scolds you, he is still your father. No matter how he treats you, he is still your father. If he treats you well, he is still your father. If he does not treat you well, he is still your father. If he gives you money to spend, he is still your father. If he does not give you money to spend, he is still your father. Isn’t this the case? Why do I say this? It is a fact that he is your father. If he actually is your father, then what he does is not related at all to this fact. Nothing that he does can cause this fact to be untrue. This is the correct way to see things. Someone said, “Of the things that God does, there are some matters in which I do not see how it could be the truth nor do I see how they could be beneficial to mankind.” In this case, you must seek the truth, listen to sermons, and read and ponder more of God’s word. As for some key aspects which are not clearly explained by man, pray to God about them and perhaps the Holy Spirit will enlighten you so you can understand a bit more. One day you will know whatever comes from God, everything that God does or says is the truth. All of it is positive. Is it good to experience God’s work in this way? Everyone says it is good. If you always try to define God, you will never be able to know God. Once you learn how to obey God, you will be able to know God. This is the secret to obtaining the truth!

I was born in a Catholic family. Since I was little, I attended Mass at church with my grandparents. Due to the influence of my environment and my belief in God, I learned to chant many different scriptures and practice various rituals.

In 2009, I arrived in Japan to study. One time, in a fellow student’s dorm room, I met by chance a Christian small group leader who had come to spread the gospel. I thought: Protestants and Catholics believe in the same God. They both believe in the Lord Jesus. As a result, I accepted the small group leader’s invitation to join him at the church. After listening to the pastors preach and hearing some brothers and sisters talk about the Bible, I had some understanding about the Lord Jesus’ life. This caused me to have more faith in the Lord. However, after a few months, the pastors and the preachers asked us to donate tithe every week. Also, each week, we were to hand out pamphlets to spread the gospel. Sometimes, we were so tired that we would snooze during Sunday service. We no longer had a normal routine in our life. At that time, some of us were both working and studying. Not only did we have to make money to pay for our studies, but we also needed money for our everyday expenses. Our lives were already quite difficult, but they still wanted us to give them our money and our energy. We were under a lot of stress and pain. Gradually, I discovered that the pastors and the preachers were not truly people that served the Lord. Normally, since they were those who shepherded the church, they should have been helping us grow in our spiritual lives. However, they did not care about our lives. They did not think at all about our practical problems. Instead, they wanted our energy and our money. Everything they did was to help expand their church and consolidate their status and their influence. At this time, we felt like we had been deceived. Consequently, a few of my brothers and I left the church.

In the Age of Grace, God became flesh to serve as a sin offering for mankind, redeeming them from sin. In the last days God has again become flesh to express the truth and to do His work of judgment in order to thoroughly purify and save man. So why does God need to incarnate twice to do the work of saving mankind? And what is the true significance of God incarnating twice?

Answer:

About why God must be incarnated twice to do the work of saving mankind, we should first be clear: With regard to the salvation of mankind, God’s two incarnations have a deep and profound meaning. Because the work of salvation, no matter if we’re talking about the redemption or the judgment and purification and salvation of the last days, cannot be performed by man. It requires God to be incarnated and perform the work Himself. In the Age of Grace, God was incarnated as the Lord Jesus, that is, God’s Spirit clothed Himself in a holy and sinless flesh, and was nailed to the cross to serve as a sin offering, redeeming man from his sinfulness. We all understand this. But as for the return of the Lord Jesus in the last days, why is He incarnated in the flesh as the Son of man to appear and work? Many have a hard time understanding this. If Almighty God had not explained this aspect of the truth and unveiled this mystery, no one would have understood this truth. Now, let’s see what exactly Almighty God has said. Almighty God says, “The first incarnation was to redeem man from sin through the flesh of Jesus, that is, He saved man from the cross, but the corrupt satanic disposition still remained within man. The second incarnation is no longer to serve as a sin offering but to fully save those who were redeemed from sin. This is done so that those forgiven can be delivered from their sins and be fully made clean, and attain a change in disposition, thereby breaking free of Satan’s influence of darkness and returning before the throne of God. Only in this way can man be fully sanctified. God began the work of salvation in the Age of Grace after the Age of Law had come to an end. It is not until the last days, when God has fully purified mankind by doing the work of judgment and chastisement of man for rebelliousness, will God conclude His work of salvation and enter into rest. Therefore, in the three stages of work, only twice did God become flesh to carry out His work among man Himself. That is because only one in the three stages of work is to lead man in their lives, while the other two are the work of salvation. Only if God becomes flesh can He live alongside man, experience the suffering of the world, and live in an ordinary flesh. Only in this way can He supply man of His creation with the practical word that they need. Man receives full salvation from God because of God incarnate, not directly from their prayers to heaven. For man is fleshly; man is unable to see the Spirit of God and much less able to approach Him. All that man can associate with is God’s incarnate flesh; only through Him can man understand all the words and all the truths, and receive full salvation. The second incarnation is sufficient to get rid of the sins of man and fully purify man. Hence, the second incarnation will bring to a close all the work of God in the flesh and complete the significance of God’s incarnation. Thereafter, the work of God in the flesh will have entirely come to an end. After the second incarnation, He will not again become flesh for His work. For His entire management will have come to an end. In the last days, His incarnation will have fully gained His chosen people, and all man in the last days will have been divided according to their kind. During a person’s life, facing success and failure is unavoidable. There are many people who are happy when they have success, and who are frustrated and pained when they face failure. There are even many people who stake all their efforts in wanting to reach a point at which all their hopes are fulfilled, but things are often not how people would like them to be. Because of this, many people think that this life is not as they want it to be. Previously, I also always relied on my own ability in the work I did, and all that I got from that was the pain of failure. Most people in the religious world think: When the Lord Jesus was crucified and said before He expired “It is finished,” this proved that God’s work of salvation was entirely complete, and there would be no more work. Thus, upon hearing that God is doing a new stage of work in the last days, many people absolutely deny it. They think it an impossible thing. Well, when it comes down to it, what is the truth of the matter? When the Lord Jesus was crucified, did it or did it not represent that God’s work of saving mankind was entirely “finished”? Did the Lord saying “It is finished” mean that all the Lord’s work of redeeming mankind was accomplished, or did it mean that all God’s work of saving mankind was accomplished?

I’m an ordinary country woman, and I would often be weighed down by the strenuous burdens of the household. Because of this, my temperament became quite violent, and my husband and I were always at each other’s throats day in and day out. Our lives simply couldn’t go on like that. God’s last days’ work has already conquered a group of people in Mainland China.         I was born in a Chinese Christian family, and my grandmother always used to take me to the church for gatherings and to sing hymns in praise of God when I was young…. After I grew up I obtained some grace of the Lord and experienced some of the Lord’s deeds, and I felt even more that the Lord is trustworthy. The Lord’s love for people is the truest, and the Lord’s word has authority and power and can give people hope. Whenever I would sing hymns, pray to the Lord, and read the word of the Lord, I would feel especially steady and tranquil in my heart. I came to the USA in 2007, and was baptized at church in October of 2010, when I began my service. At that time, my heart was impassioned. Because my house was far away from the church, I had to get up at 5:00 to take the subway there. But I felt a sweetness in my heart and that as long as I could satisfy God then suffering these hardships would be worth it. I took part in everything in the church, big or small, and I gained a lot of enlightenment from reading the Bible. But after a few years, without knowing why, when I listened to pastors I would doze off. I didn’t get any clear enlightenment from reading the Bible, and my spirit often sank down into weakness. When the pastor preached, I thought it was the same old cliches, without any new light. Every time I was at a gathering, as soon as it was over, the brothers and sisters would start chatting about things that had nothing to do with believing in the Lord. Some would be selling insurance, some would act as matchmakers, and still others talked about where they were going to go on vacation…. Seeing all this, I couldn’t help but be reminded of what was recorded in the Bible about how at the end of the Age of Law, when Jesus came to carry out His work, the Jews were doing business in the temple selling oxen and sheep and doves. When Jesus saw this, he overturned the moneychangers’ tables and the stools of those selling doves. He reprimanded them for having turned a temple for worshiping God into a den of thieves. Seeing the churches of today having become just like the temple was at that time was something that especially caused me to feel pain and helplessness in my heart. I was also perplexed and couldn’t understand how the church could have changed like this. For this reason, I would often come into the presence of God and lament bitterly, “Oh Lord! Where are You? The churches are already no longer churches, and most people just say they believe in You, but their hearts are actually very far from You. All that they do does not receive Your praise. Lord! Why Does Eastern Lightning Surge Forward With Unstoppable Progress

       The Lord Jesus said, “For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even to the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” (Matthew 24:27). Since Eastern Lightning—Almighty God, Christ of the last days—appeared in China to perform His work, His kingdom gospelhas spread across the whole of mainland China in just more than ten years. Flesh that does not contain the substance of God is surely not the incarnate God; of this there is no doubt. Which is to say, whether or not it is God’s incarnate flesh, and whether or not it is the true way, must be judged from His substance. And so, in determining[a] whether it is the flesh of God incarnate, the key is to pay attention to His substance (His work, His words, His disposition, and many more), rather than external appearance.

Sermons and Fellowship: God’s Work of Judgment of the Last Days Makes a Group of Overcomers

Only undergoing God’s work of judgment in the last days can make one a true overcomer. Almighty God took on a human form in the last days and arrived in secret in China where He does the work of judgment beginning with God’s house. Almighty God has expressed all of the truths that will purify and save mankind. He judges and reveals mankind’s satanic nature that resists God, along with the truth of their corruption. He reveals to mankind God’s righteous disposition that tolerates no offense, as well as His omnipotence and wisdom. After experiencing the judgment and chastisement, pruning and dealing, and trials and refinement of God’s word, we come to realize the ugliness, substance and truth of our being deeply corrupted by Satan. We are arrogant and self-righteous, ambitious, and make blind judgments. We are selfish and base, crooked and deceitful. We detest the truth. We are full of conceptions and imaginations about God, and we may resist and betray God at any time. We are the descendants of Satan, the brood that opposes God. We are completely unworthy of attaining God’s salvation and living before God. At the same time, we all truly sensed that God’s word is the truth, we believe it wholeheartedly, it brings us down to our knees. We have all the more been able to realize that God’s holiness cannot be defiled, and God’s disposition cannot be offended. This produces in us a true reverence for God, so that we are able to obey Him and live by His words. During the process of God’s judgment and chastisement, we bear various resounding testimonies of overcoming the dark influence of Satan. In particular, there are those who have stood testimony amidst the cruel persecution by the CCP government. These testimonies of the overcomers are the fruits of Almighty God’s work of judgment in the last days. God has made a group of overcomers in Mainland China. This is the fact, and the proof is indisputable.
